Some schools I would reccomend applying to would be Indiana University, University Illinois- Urban Champaign, USC, and University of Texas - Austin
UT-Austin is no safety for out-of-state applicants, given its statutory obligation to admit the top 7% of students within Texas. Is the OP applying to Wharton or to the College of Arts & Sciences at Penn? I’d say Wharton is a huge reach for him, as it is for everyone. Its acceptance rate is similar to Harvard’s or Stanford’s, and I don’t see the “rock-star” attributes in the OP’s application that are typically required. The regular college at Penn is a reach. NYU Arts & Sciences is a match (if not a near-safety); Stern is a modest reach.
