Chances At University Of Washington..please Look

OK, i may not have the super high grades, etc. as the rest of you guys on this message board, but here are my stats:

Asian Indian

3.27 unweighted GPA (With a lot of IB, and the only reason my GPA is so low is because of math, i just suck at it. If you took my math grades out, my GPA would be around 3.7/8)
SAT:
670 Verbal
570 Math
670 Writing
1910 TOTAL

Hold down a job working about 20 hours a week, I am senior class president, member of journalism and photography, and have around 70 hours of community service. I would also be the first in my family to go to college, and i grew up in Oakland, CA though i am now in Seattle, so maybe growing up in a rough neighborhood helps. I applied on Dec. 1, and still have yet to receive an answer and am becoming increasingly nervous. what do you think my chances are?

It all depends. A couple of years ago, you probably would have gotten in, but these days, the UW is getting harder and harder to get into. I would recommend looking at the “admissions tracker” website (type it into google), and see who got in last year. It’s really helpful! There was an article in the Seattle PI last year about a girl with a 3.5 GPA and SATs that were “well above average”, with varsity sports. So idk, good luck. I think you have a shot, but apply to some safety schools.

You know what, I just looked over your stuff again, and on second thought, I bet you’ll get in. Sorry about that. lol IN any event, good luck to you!! The IBs are great for UW.

As long as your essay was convincing, I don’t think the GPA would have been much of an issue. You’re in! Don’t worry
