Long essay was about my passion, cross-country and how my personal struggles (major issues with a new coach, two frusturating years of doctors appointments trying to diagnose the pain that held me back, spinal tumor diagnosis, surgery & painful recovery, running Varsity all three years until the very last race, etc) made me realize that I accept, and almost embrace, challenges with determination, always come out a stronger, more resilient person.

Thank you!

USC should be a match for you. GPA is high and so are SATs. Varsity Sport, commended club, active. If your essays are decent, your chances are very high.

However with all 3 years in calculation, i don't understand how there is so great a fluctuation between your UW and ur Weighted GPA.

Pristine-

Sophomore year, I received all B's in my weighted classes, and junior year, first semester, I received a B in one of my weighted. That's why...

Thanks for your help!

how r u calculating ur gpa? r u counting every honor class u take as weighted? I'm not quite sure but I thought many honor courses that are honor courses are not considered honor courses in many colleges. Like soph. english h is not considered an h course

Darkhope-

I posted my W/UW GPA's as they are listed on my transcript. I'm not sure how my school calculates them, but I'm guessing they count English H and such as a 5.0.

i don't think English H would count as a 5 pointer

either way, with your UW, test scores and EC, USC seems to be a match.

Pr22, your SAT makes no sense. 710 CR + 680 M + 710 W = 2100, not 2150. Either way, I'd say USC is a match for you. Good luck.

OP-
I think you'll get in but have someone read your essay and make sure it doesn't sound too angry and negative and that the focus is on your dedication and personal strength. best of luck
