Hi there. :)

Here's the deal: I'm 24 years old, work full-time, and attend a community college part-time. The community college is in Arizona, where I've lived for the last 6 years. I just moved back to Virginia, so I'm planning my next steps for school.

I did not finish high school due to family circumstances. However, I did get my GED and my score ranked in the top 3% when compared against the average high schoolers' score. I never took my SATs or similar testing - but the UVA Admissions site says they don't require it for people who have been out of high school for 5 years. So I don't think that matters. I'm 25 credits into my AA in Elementary Education with a 4.0 GPA.

Since my chances at getting into UVA would greatly improve if I transferred from an in-state school, I'm thinking of going to Liberty University to finish my AAEE, maintaining my 4.0 (or at least no less than 3.8), and getting involved in the community so that I have some real-world EC to include in my submission. Once I'm done with my AAEE, I'll apply to UVA with my awesome GPA, an impressive EC resume, and an epic essay.

From what I can tell, a person's high school career doesn't have quite as much weight with UVA after a person has established themselves in a college career. And transferring from an in-state university will be a lot better than a community college in ARIZONA. I realize that Liberty U isn't the most ideal school, but they have an online program and that's what I need right now.

Thoughts, anyone? Suggestions?
