I am interested in these schools:
Wake Forest(ED top choice)
UNC-Chapel Hill
Rice
UVA
UC-Berkeley
Vanderbilt
UCLA
UT-Austin
UW-Madison
University at Buffalo
University of Michigan- Ann Arbor</p>

GPA: 96
Class rank: 40/409 coming into junior year, probobly 30/409 now
Gender: Male
I didn't take my standardized tests yet but hope for at least
SAT 1: 1350/1600 or 2000/2400
ACT composite: 32
First generation college student
I will have really good essays.
I will have really good recomendations.</p>

<p>Plan on going Pre-Med or Pre-Pharm</p>

Weightlifted for 3 Hrs a day JR + Soph year for school teams.( hope will show commitment)</p>

<p>What do you think my chances for admission will be for these schools.

UNC-Chapel Hill: No
Rice: No
UVA: No
UC-Berkeley: No
Vanderbilt: Waitlist
UCLA: No
UT-Austin: Maybe?
UW-Madison: Yes
University at Buffalo: Yes with money
University of Michigan- Ann Arbor: Possible, but probably waitlist.</p>

<p>You should be able to get into all the schools above. It just depends really. Wisconsin and Buffalo should be safeties for you. Berkeley, Rice, and Vandy will be the hardest, but still very possible. The rest are all up for grabs.</p>

<p>I think you have an okay chance at wake forest, especially if it’s early decision. and I don’t know what jillsfein was talking about…vandy is one of your higher reach schools, maybe less than rice, but it won’t be wait list if uva rejects. I think a problem here may be that uva doesn’t really like ib apps that much. you have a reasonable chance at umich and unc, less than that at ucla and berk, and I can’t really say about uw or buffalo. hope this was helpful after all those bumps!</p>
