-Black belt in martial arts: learned a lot of leadership from the class. The guy was an Army veteran who ran the class almost like the military. The 6 years I spent getting my black belt taught me many lessons in life/leadership. There was a lot of hard work put into getting my black belt.

-Took a leadership class this year that really influenced me as a person. Here’s a basic lay out: Monday’s-tutored a kid, Tuesday’s-Speaker shared their philosophy on leadership Wednesday’s- volunteered Thursday’s-studied leadership for our own philosophy Friday’s-Worked on student led projects

At the end we had to write a paper on our philosophy, and we also had to give a Ted Talk to the class/school admin about leadership.

Weaknesses:
ACT- I got a 27 this previous July. I am confident it will go up because I am in tutoring, I have had trig/pre cal, and I do English/reading practice in my English class. While I am sure my ACT will go up, I don’t know if I can get to the 33+ range.

AP classes- this year I am in AP biology. Next year I am taking AP physics 1, AP Calc, and AP English 12. That adds up to 4 AP classes at graduation. The majority of my transcript is “honors” and “pre ap” classes.

The ACT score is just too low for Vandy. Unless you are a URM or have a really good reason, chances are kinda low.
