I'm two weeks away from finishing my junior year and trying to get an idea of where I stand at the moment. I'm applying ED to Barnard College in the fall and I'm also interested in applying to NYU, Smith, Bryn Mawr, UNC Chapel Hill, North Carolina State, and possibly Wellesley, Mount Holyoke, and maybe Emerson, as well as a couple of schools that are a reach for pretty much everyone (really need to narrow down the list).

I should note that my school's on a 7-point grading scale, block schedule, and we have ~12 APs, most of which are math and sciences (my worst subjects).

GPA: 3.79 unweighted/4.45 weighted
ACT: 28 (retaking ASAP)
SAT: Might take it, made a 188 on the PSAT with no time for studying.
Class rank: 29/330-ish

Junior schedule: Honors English 3 (A), Advanced Functions and Modeling (B), Honors Chem (B), Honors US History (B), APUSH (A), Honors Law and Justice (A), and Honors French 3 (A) and 4 (A). (Definitely regretting not taking AP Lang, couldn't have taken AP Gov and APUSH because they're during the same block.)
Senior schedule: Honors English 4 and AP Lit, AP Psych (year-long), Honors Pre-calc, Honors French 5, and the rest will most likely be standard classes (some combination of art, astronomy, chorus, and creative writing). Wanted to take AP French but it's no longer offered.
I've taken all honors classes with the exception of 2 math classes, 2 chorus classes, an art class, and health/PE and the math classes were the only ones where there was an honors option. I made one B my freshman year (honors geometry) and one my sophomore year (honors bio), and three last semester but it's looking like this semester is going to be all As.

Clubs: Art club (10, 11, probably 12), inducted into NHS last year, and next year I'll be involved in GSA and Do Something club, plus this year I started a Teen Democrats group but we decided to delay meetings to next year because things got started late. (My school really doesn't have a lot of interesting clubs...)
Volunteering: I volunteer for about an hour a week at the local library, started doing that in September and I'll be continuing that through the summer and next year.
Other: I'm a Junior Marshal at my school (somewhat of a big deal), meaning I'm in the top 30 of the Junior class and we have to show up to graduation and senior awards night and walk the seniors to the stage. If I take one more science class I'll graduate with either Honors or High Honors. Essays should be awesome and my teacher recs should be as well.

My mom has an associate's degree and my dad went to college but didn't graduate.
I go to an average public school in North Carolina.
I'm white, lower middle class ish so financial aid is pretty important (and yet my second choice is NYU. yay.).

I think that should about cover it?
