You can visit when it best fits your schedule. We do not require visiting before applying. (We begin accepting applications after completion of junior year, and our application is always non-binding. That matches with our philosophy of students finding the best "fit" for them, as opposed to locking students into an early decision contract.)

Visit days through May are currently posted online: Carthage Admissions - Visit Days

Individual appointments are also an option, perhaps the preferred option given your interests, and would give you the best opportunity to (pre-scheduled through the admissions office) meet with a faculty member from the neuroscience department, as well as any additional meetings that may be of interest (theatre, debate, etc.). Attending class is an option, assuming you visit on a day classes are in session. If you visit during the summer, class attendance options are more limited, though a more thorough tour of the labs and meeting with students and faculty conducting neuroscience research can likely be arranged :) (A student-led overview tour of campus is standard.) Two weeks advance notice is appreciated when scheduling an individual visit with additional appointments/meetings.
