@therealdeal23:
You just posted 11 of these “chance me” posts.

Since any reply that gives you your “chances” isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, what specifically are you hoping to learn?

When I read your opening chance-me post, my first question is:

  • Do you know why you want to attend Boston College?
  • What is it about the school that you like? And are you able to articulate that in your application, such that the adcoms will be able to envision you adding value to the incoming class?

You have listed numerous ECs. Who were you in those ECs? Were you just a warm-body, so that they can be listed on a college application? More specifically, for every EC you listed, how was it a better place because of you?

Do you have all those ECs because they were part of an environmental treadmill of expectations (home, school, town)? A long list of bulleted ECs tends to paint that picture. Or did you participate in them because it’s a part of what makes you tick? Your application will need to show (not tell) that, as the adcoms often look for that.

@therealdeal23
What is it you are looking for?

Although you have a strong academic profile, do look through “BC decisions threads” for past years on this forum.

  • You will find applicants with similarly strong profiles, who were told "You're definitely in!", only to find out they did not get accepted.
  • You will also find applicants with much weaker profiles, who were told "You have little to no chance.", only to find out they got accepted.

At any competitive school, adcoms will tell you no one can predict how the conversation will go when your packet gets discussed.

Do you want to try and strengthen your application? The questions I asked in #1 above are similar to those discussed in many threads every year (by many). How are you considering those?

OP:

your numbers are above BC’s medians, but I assume that you already knew that. In any event, that just means that you are an extremely competitive candidate. But what makes the difference between Accept and Wait List will be described in your essays…
