EECS is Cal's hardest major to get into. Any other major and you could be 100% sure of acceptance with your numbers. But since you're EECS, you can only be 96% sure.

Umm, I think EECS average SAT is 1550. And thats Best One sitting score. Not best verbal + best math. That might be the only risky part of your app.

Berkeley engineering has the most women out of any engineering program as well. Which is a huge reason why some engineers prefer Berkeley over other programs.

I'm not sure, but you can apply to Haas as an undeclared. Considering how many people apply to Haas, I imagine it would be more competitive for that.

But in all honesty, a lot of investment banking recruiters in 2000 tried to make a concerted effort to hire non-business majors. They wanted more diverse perspectives, and hired just as many PEIS/Econ/Engineering majors as Haas majors at my previous firm. But this is assuming that you had the similar internships as Haas majors.

I only took the SAT I once. My 1530 is a single sitting score. Anyway... 1550 average!!!! That's insane

I wish I were as optimistic as you... ECs = "important factor". And look at my awards. Ahem I mean award.

its hard to tell because they dont release numbers. i wish they did though. personally, i think you have an excellent chance. you might save time on a few requirements here because of your CC/AP stuff too :)

It's an 11% acceptance rate because they save the seats for people like you. Don't worry too much, with those stats you're guaranteed a spot somewhere great.

Does the admissions office care about declared majors from applicants outside of EECS? For majors in L&S, will they use SAT-II/AP scores to determine whether a candidate is fit for the major, let alone Cal?
