I am only a freshman in high school right now, but I have been researching colleges lately online so I can plan the rest of high school accordingly.

I am wondering about my chances of Reed. I know it is very hard to guess at this point in my high school career. I go to a very small charter school that is connected to a small-town high school. My charter school allows me to take independent studies, discussion or lecture-style classes at the charter school, or conventional high school classes at the public high school. The charter school also has a very strong focus on community service- 36 hours are required each year. Something that is difficult about my charter school is that I only have a GPA from my public school classes. Another thing that is difficult about where I am is that because the high school is so small, it only offers about 5 AP classes.

I consider myself to be a good student, and my GPA from the public school is 4.0 right now.

I also have a question about Reed's atmosphere. I am a Catholic, but consider myself to be liberal. Would it be really hard for me to go to Reed with my beliefs? Are there faith-based clubs/groups?

Thank you!
