applying EA to CSOM as a finance major

I have taken the act (32.25 composite), so it wont matter that i have no sat ii’s yet

what are my chances at getting in?
what are my chances at getting offered honors?
what are my chances of getting scholarship money?

its impossible to get a 32.25 composite

u will most likely get in off of your stats but honestly i dont think you would fit in at BC. the title of your chance thread makes u seem extremely pretentious and your little resume above makes u seem very arrogant. i would assume that will come through in your essays so i doubt honors program or scholarship money.

it is called an "eye-catcher." not trying to be rude, but you are the one being pretentious, as you don't know me and you are making assumptions

Dear thegoldteamRULES : When you come for input in a chance-me thread, you have to be prepared to take the good with the bad. Your response to tennisboy1005 goes immediately into attack mode based on the observations made.

Let's look at tennisboy's comments. First, you cannot get a 32.25 composite on the ACT which shows a lack of understanding that the ACT scores on an integer basis. My read is that your four section average is probably 32.25 and you were unhappy to say that you were a 32 on the composite. Correct?

Other comments that were used in your brief include "well respected parochial school" (not just any school), "very smart class" (look at me in the top 10% of a very smart, unranked class), and "many ivys". So, at the end of this, you are likely a very bright young person that can go to college board and see that your SAT scores are in the top quartile for BC and probably came here for an ego stroke and a little bit of "hey world, look at me".

Your profile is academic centric and not overly balanced. Let me share with you the gaps in your application.

Two years of JV lacrosse with no other sports will place you behind other well balanced candidates who have been varsity leaders at their schools. No music or fine arts background is exposed.

Your "very smart class" that can only take AP exams in their senior year will be up against applications with ten or more AP courses when competing for Honors Program consideration.

In order to be a Presidential Scholar, you really need to have something special that you achieved at the High School level - business, academics, sports, community, whatever. Honestly, I do not see that in your blurb.

Your 2280 is fabulous. Some of your academic rigor is wonderful. Based on academics, you should qualify for BC, you might even get a bid for CSOM Honors. The recommendation is to perhaps do a little introspection as to first, why you posted, and second, what responses you really expected. Good luck.

Haha, owned.

^hahahaha atta boy. Bringing back an 08er. Loving it.

curious if he got in lol

He made a thread asking where he sets up an admitted eagle day thing so I’m assuming… Which bugs me.

actually you can get .25 composites. the scores have 4 sections and are averaged into .25 .5 .75
