<p>Hello, everyone. So, I'm completely new here. Happened to stumble across this site, which made my day. So plz chance me for carnegie mellon for computer science</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8 UW
SAT: 2250, 800 on MathII and 740 on Chem
Took pretty rigorous courses, 8 APs total, some non-honors in there somewhere...
- taking AP computer science at school
Asian male</p>

<p>(EC) this is where i suck
- went to BU math camp twice over summer
- soccer camp once a week in freshman year
- envirothon team, 10-12, places in top 10
- chess team 10-12, president senior year
- skipped honors algebra 2 in freshman year (got credit at a summer program)
- NEC (orchestral organization in MA)
-in the honors orchestra at my school
- taking private violin lessons
- junior district (another orchestra) in freshman year, senior district 10-12
- part of the math team, one of the best in the nation for a public school
- i went to korean school every saturday for 7 years, graduated in 10th grade
- (just a side note, went to carnegie mellon preschool, not saying it matters though, good times back then)</p>

<p>applying EDI and also have legacy status (my dad went to CMU for computer science)</p>

<p>I can't think of anywhere else I would want to go, except MIT, which I have no chance of getting into anyway</p>

<p>I think it sounds like you have an excellent chance. What are you involved in now for activities? </p>

<p>Why do you say you have no chance at MIT? I think you are cutting yourself short</p>

<p>With ED and legacy, I'd say you have a very good shot at getting in.</p>
