I go to a very competitive public high school in Connecticut, among the top 50 in the nation.
GPA: i find it odd that people compare gpas as every school does it differently and some are easier/harder than others...but by the middle/beginning of senior year I'll have a 3.70 or a high 3.6
My grades are on a very slanted upward trend...I had around a 3.1 freshman year and really picked it up and it will continue to go up
ACT: 31 comp (27 math, 31 science, 34 english, 32 reading) taking it again september of senior year, almost positive I can get a 32 comp
EC: very competitive swimmer, club and high school team, I could swim at Colby but don't know if they consider it with admissions
Student Assembly (student govt) for three years, probably president but at least vice president or secretary senior year
Led a drive for materials to be sent to troops in Iraq fall 2009, very successful
Attended Junior Counselor training program in Cape Cod every summer - one of the best, if not the best, in the country. This included 250+ hours teaching and countless "counseling" each summer since summer going into freshman year
There is a solid chance i will win a prestigious award at this program this coming summer but..we'll see
My recommendations will be very good, i have one teacher, one counselor, and the director of the counseling program whom i can get awesome ones from..i just need to find another
teacher

I will be counting on my essays, I consider myself a great writer especially with personal stuff. They will help me a lot, I think.
I probably forgot something, but that's the gist of it. Please chance me! I love Colby from everything I've read
