What are the chances that this fairly normal white kid gets in at Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt? I plan on studying Chemical Engineering. Thanks!

You look good on paper, but my recommendation would be to expand on your community service. They want to see specifics and consistency. 100 hours when over the last three years? Tell what your actual duties and responsibilities are. Ifyour Catholic that would help for ND!

OK. Thank you! Yeah I planned on being more thorough on my application haha

The chances of encountering constant and significant discrimination in your lifetime is very low. College applications included. Things are very good for the average non minority kid.

Notre Dame likes to see activity/service with the church. Also, a reccomendation from within the church would help tremendously.

As of right now, all reaches.
ND: reach
Vanderbilt: reach
Northwestern: high reach (for engineering)
