Hey, I'm currently a freshman at St. John's University looking to transfer to Fordham in the Fall of 2013. I'm currently a Public Relations major, and am applying to major in Communications & Media Studies at Fordham (closest thing). I was accepted to Fordham last spring, but chose to attend St. John's because it is only costing me $26,000 a year, whereas Fordham would have been $37,000.

My HS GPA was a 3.56, SAT 1990 (700 critical reading, 650 writing, 640 math), and I currently have a 3.8 in the St. John's Honors Program. I had solid extracurriculars in high school, but wasn't as involved last semester as I should have been.

My question is, will Fordham accept me again with a similar amount of financial aid? Last year they offered my an $8,000 scholarship, along with $12,600 in grant aid. Would it help to include a scan of their financial aid package for me from last year, or would that seem too pushy?

Paying $37,000 a year would be a huge stretch for me and my family financially, but I've realized that it would be worth it, but if it would cost me substantially more than that as a transfer student, it would not be possible for me to attend. And being from New Hampshire, there's no way I can attend if I do not receive housing. How can I improve my chances of getting financial aid and housing?
