Science Research (4 years)

My passion is science research which I find very interesting, I have entered many competitions such as Intel, Siemens Westinghouse, Dupont Challenge, Oracle Thinkquest, and Toshiba Exploravision.

I also really enjoy playing my instrument for various occasions, I have played in the football marching band, NYS virtuosi band and the graduation band. When I apply to colleges I may want to tryout for the marching band.

My essays will be strong as well as my recommendations.

I would like to know my chances at UMich, UMiami, Penn State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Vanderbilt, USC, and Lehigh.

I had a 3.7 and a 29 and applied to Michigan (in-state), Wisconsin, Miami, and Indiana. I got waitlisted to Michigan, accepted to Miami and Wisconsin, and accepted with a 6K scholarship to Indiana. Wisconsin deferred me, the only reason was because I didn't include a teacher recommendation. While they aren't required, make sure you include one with your initial application as it shows that you are interested in the school.

Reach - USC
Slight Reach - Michigan, Vanderbilt
Match - Miami, Wisconsin, Penn State, Lehigh
Safety - Indiana

If you're out of state for Michigan it's going to be a bit more like a reach. Unless you bring your ACT score up into the 30s. Ditto for Vandy and USC.
