Ethnicity: Indian-Asian
Location: GA</p>

<p>Academics:
SAT: 1880 (680 CR, 660 Math, 540 Writing, essay-9) will retake in oct. if i need to.
Class Rank: top 10%
UW GPA about 87.667/100</p>

<p>I have taken the hardest courseload offered at my high school. All gifted classes including 6 AP classes: Human Geography, World History, Euro History, Physics B, U.S. History, Psychology. In case it matters, this makes me an AP Scholar with Honors. Next year I am signed up for 5 AP classes: US Gov't, Macro/Microeconomics, and Calc AB, Chem. </p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Former Boy Scout. Entering 4th year of Marching Band and Drumline.I am an officer (section leader) this year. Have won multiple awards. Entering 4th year of Band. Have also won multiple awards in competitions. Play numerous instruments: Trumpet, Baritone, Percussion, and Piano.
2nd Year Varsity Tennis.
3 Years of Student Government. In charge of setting up and maintaining website. Very active in Catholic Church.
Governor's Honors Program Nominee for Math.
Currently working at Microcenter.
There's prob other stuff that i can not think of now.</p>

<p>My goal is to pursue some science/math like chemistry, physics, or maybe engineering.</p>

<p>I wouldn't worry too much about being accepted gy GA Tech and UGA, but if you are hoping for Emory I would definitely suggest retaking the SAT. It will help that you aren't white, and it will also help if you apply early decision. Duke would be much more of a long shot than Emory I think.</p>

<p>yeah that was pretty much i was thinking. duke was just out there. im trying for a 2000+ SAT by Oct. with all the studying i am doing. GT is pretty much my dream school.</p>

but I don't think your ethnicity will help much because indian dudes are generally super smarts--> more competition for you.</p>

oxford- ed/ea and you'll probably get in</p>

<p>Don't worry too much about GA tech and UGA. I think Oxford you will get into. The others are reaches with Duke being a high Reach.</p>
