Chances for Columbia, NYU, Cornell, and Cooper Union

Fairly new to the whole college process.

As a junior in high school, what are my chances at getting accepted to Columbia, Cornell, NYU, and Cooper U starting next year (I will be starting JUNIOR year this summer)

GPA:4.0
APs: 6 (4 5s, 2 4s)
SAT: 2190 (1 sitting) SATII: All 750+ (Math II, Chem, Bio, Physics)
ACT:34 (1 sitting)
EC: Co Captain of Outdoor and Indoor Track team, Muslim Student Association, Key Club Member, NHS
Volunteering (Not including clubs): Nursing Home, Library, Hospital Work, and volunteer head at a Religious Youth Program
Gender: M
Ethnicity: Bengali/Generally South Asian

Let me know how I’d put up against each scools admission process if I were to list these, and if there are some things I can do to better help my chances (since i have a good year left to add onto my ECs, etc;) please let me know as well
Thanks!

What’s your classwork rigor?

Your EC’s are okay, but nothing that stands out. Your volunteering is a bit spread out–you could try focusing on one activity you really love and then do more with it.

I’d say classwork rigor is pretty tough, all APs or Honor classes. I go to one of the specialized high schools of New York City if thats any help. And thanks for the advice on the volunteering!!

Which one do you go, if its alright for you to tell?

Bronx Science

Judging from the schools you chose, you must be going into engineering or STEM right? I don’t see a lot of STEM related activities on your EC list. That may be an issue.

You’re right! In fact, my cousin only informed me about a STEM program she did as a high schooler herself, but she let me know just a few days after applications were due. Definitely on my list for next year!
