Hi All,

New here and desperate for some insight! I have had my heart set on getting my MBA from Columbia since before my freshman year as an undergraduate. Finances restricted my attendance as an undergrad. I am wondering what my chances are for admission into the 2012 MBA program. Here is my background:

Graduated in 3.5 years from the University of Connecticut in December 2010

Majored in Finance with a minor in International Studies

GPA: 3.51

Attended the Investment Banking Institute in NYC for a 1 month modeling course.

Have volunteered at a few events and was in the Finance Society and Beta Alpha Psi.

Worked full-time as an Executive Assistant since 2007 and upon graduating was promoted to a project coordinator position organizing a website business. I held the project coordinator position until July when I decided to take time off to study for my GMATs. I will be taking a GMAT prep course and plan on attaining at least a 750 (though I know that is difficult). Also thinking of applying early admission.

Do you think I will have a chance?
