Chances for Dartmouth?

Hi there!

I'm starting my senior year and working through the admissions process. I'm a bit nervous about my chances of getting accepted to Dartmouth, since I've taken all of my high school classes online and my course load is on the weaker side of students applying to most Ivy's.

I also won't be able to take my SAT IIs until Nov. 8th (after the early admissions deadline) and I'm scared that not applying early is going to affect my chances.

I have an unweighted 4.0, but won't take Calculus in high school (I might take it the summer after senior year) and will only graduate with 2 AP Credits (AP Bio and AP English Language).
I'm expecting around a 2100 on the SATs but haven't taken them yet.
However, with that said, I'm also a U.S. Olympian that competed in Sochi. I'm hoping that this will boost my application in the extracurricular department.

Dartmouth is my first choice school and I'm really crossing my fingers here. What do you guys think my chances are?

Excellent if you can be a recruited athlete. Assuming that your courses have been online because of training/competing? I would think that if you can put up some good SAT scores you would have a good chance, since your drive and self-discipline are most likely proven quantities. It would help if you had good scores on the SATIIs and APs, since I would think their only concern would be whether your preparation was strong enough for you to succeed. At least that is what I would be concerned about if I were on the committee. :)

Dartmouth like most ivies are really selective. Other schools might include Colby, Bowdoin, Holy Cross, Bucknell.

He was in the Olympics.

He wasn’t asking about other schools.

Good chance of getting in due to grades and especially bc you’re an olympian

An Olympian? You’re in Dartmouth.
