I’m a high school sophomore, what are my chances for getting into Georgetown? Please critique my schedule/ ECs. I want to be pre-med in college.
Freshman year:
hon algebra 2 (A), hon chemistry (A), AP US government (A)- 5 on exam, hon english 9 (A), PE (A), hon art (A), hon spanish 3 (A), I also took a .5 credit hon prereq course for hon chem over the summer (A)
Sophomore year (current grades)
health (over summer, A), hon spanish 4/5 (A), hon english 10 (A), hon biology (A), AP chemistry (A), AP US history (A), hon precalc (A)
Junior year:
hon world history, AP lang, AP biology, AP calculus AB, AP comp sci, SGA (if accepted) or AP spanish lang (if not accepted)
Senior year:
AP lit, AP stat, hon physics, hon anatomy, AP european history, SGA (if accepted) or hon art 2, AP psych
current weighted GPA: 4.63
current unweighted GPA: 4.0
ECs:
hospital volunteering beginning summer after freshman year: 60+ hours (planning on 200+), tutoring club 2hr/week, nhs, pre-med club (fundraises for childrens hospitals), medical camp program over summer
Is AP Spanish essential or is it okay to drop junior year? I’m not interested in Spanish and even though I do well in honors classes I feel that I will struggle in AP. Thank you!
