Chances for Harvard (other Top) Law Schools?

I'm a junior at the College of New Jersey and I spent the first two years of undergrad having a little two much fun and I currently have a 2.6 GPA. That said, I plan on refocusing my efforts and can honestly see myself pulling a 4.0 or close to it the next 2 years which would equate to about a 3.3 GPA. Additionally i spent the summer studying for the LSAT about 35 hours a week, in addition to a full time job and towards the end of the summer consistently scored 178 and 179 on practice tests and got 2 perfect scores. So assuming that I can pull a 4.0 the next two years and get a 178-180 on the LSAT, do you think I have a legitimate chance on getting in any of these top schools. (YHSCCN)

And please don't say that school doesn't matter, because I want to go into corporate law, (hopefully with Wachtell or Skadden) and school does matter for those firms.

Yale: Reach
Harvard: Reach
Stanford: Reach
Columbia: Match
U Chicago: Reach
NYU: Match

Knowing that you want to aim for the T14, maybe UVA or NWU should be doable.

Top law schools really only care about two things: GPA and LSAT score. It doesn’t matter if you take “easy” classes or not; they just want to see a high GPA. For that reason alone, unfortunately, all top top law schools will be out of reach for you.

Best of luck! :)

What the OP was looking for is splitter-friendly schools. Hence NWU or UVA as suggestions, with Georgetown, as with NWU, cutting some GPA slack if one does declare a hard major or do lots of hard coursework as an undergraduate.

Definitely apply at Georgetown, NWU and UVA, though.
