I'm not sure about the quality of my essays and reccomendations yet, but I'm working on them.

Thank you very much!

Hey --- I feel kinda bad for you because everyone on CC ignored your post, so I'm happy to chance you ... but can you chance me as well? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/538677-please-chance-me-i-d-really-really-appreciate.html

Your GPA is very good --- don't worry about it especially because you've challenged yourself so much in class. Your SAT I is also decent, but your SAT IIs are very impressive. You're obviously a very talented and accomplished pianist --- I was born without those skills, so all I can play now is Hot Cross Buns ... anywho I'm digressing ... your other ECs are decent, and you demonstrate a little leadership in them. Your summer programs that you've attended literally shouts out to admissions officers your deep interest in music, and your awards are good, but not overly impressive.

Overall, you're a good student.

*Chances: *
-Harvard and Yale: Far reach (but you never know ...)
-Carnegie Mellon: Slight reach
-BU: Match
-NYU: Match
-Oberlin: Not familiar

Good luck!

Yeah In and BU, NYA, and I think Oberlin.

Carnegie Mellon is a low reach (need more math to stand out I guess???)

HY are always reaches. So dont be depressed about that. I have no idea what those awards mean for piano, aka how prestigious they are. Your grades are solid as well as you SAT IIs. But SAT Is need to be aboe 2200, optimally over 2250.

Good luck!

Chance me too?
