My daughter just got her SSAT scores back and scored a 2260 for the 95th percentile. She goes to a highly ranked MA public school and her GPA is a 3.65 unweighted. She was in the sixth and seventh grade band but chose to focus on basketball and is ranked as one of the top 75-100 players in New England. She has done some community service but truly spends most of her time with family, academics and basketball. How much will her grades hurt her chances?

She’s fine; she has more A’s than B’s.

The schools realize they are dealing w middle school kids, not cyborgs.
