First, I would like to apologize for any mistakes I made, any protocols I violated, or any errors in categories I made in posting this. This is my very first post, so I don’t quite know what I’m doing. Anyway, I was wondering if you could give me your honest opinion of what my chances are of getting into the University of Pennsylvannia and Princeton University. I am not very confident in my candidacy, but I don’t think I’m completely hopeless, and I was hoping some of you could offer your opinions. I am currently the valedictorian of my grade of about 110 people, and I take the most advanced classes available to me, which includes AP Chemistry, AP English, and AP Calculus. I have taken the most advanced classes available to me and maintained about a 99.2 average and class rank of 1 throughout my high school career. Also, I received a 2190 on my SAT (1440/1600). Unfortunately, besides this, there isn’t much I can include in my application. I haven’t been involved in many extracurricular or volunteer activities, as I haven’t had much time between school, studying, and a part-time job. I belong to several clubs, but I don’t know how much that actually matters. Almost all the clubs at my school are just glorified field trips. So, if you could give your honest opinion of my chances, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Your are aiming too high!
Your score and ECs are not on par with those schools demands.
um your scores seem fine, but maybe if you had some kind of a hook (race, first-gen, athletics…) you’d ahve a better chance. Best of luck anyway.
Chance me back Plz
Sat Superscore: CR(600), M(690), W(600)
Sat II: Math 2(650), Physics(550)
GPA Weighted: 91.82
Colleges: NYU HEOP, Columbia HEOP
Thanks a lot for your response. I’ll admit that I’m not very informed about how colleges decide who to accept, so my opinion may be entirely worthless, but you did give me your opinion, so I’ll give it a try. I think Columbia might be a bit of a reach for you, as their average SAT score is a 2215, their 25th percentile is 2080, and yours is 1890, which puts it quite a bit below their 25th percentile. Your GPA is quite good, which might compensate for that, but I don’t think it would be enough. However, I think you might have a realistic shot at NYU, as their average SAT score is 2015, and their 25th percentile is 1900, which puts yours almost right at that benchmark. And as I said, your GPA is quite good. But again, I don’t know much about this, but I hope it works out for you. Good luck.
@Daddycrate OP has a 2190 what are you even talking about?
@uclaparent9 What is wrong with the OP’s scores?
