@justin7473 I got lucky on the reading section, I’ve read often and read fast all my life, so I never bump up against the time limit. If the time is an issue for you, I suggest answering all the line-specific questions first. By the time you’ve read enough lines to answer those questions, you have enough of a sense of the passage to answer the general questions. It’s an imperfect strategy, but some of my slow reading friends have sworn by it. The biggest tip that got me from a 690 to where I am now is to read CRITICALLY. The answers to all the questions are ALWAYS in the passage, no exceptions. Ignore your english teacher, there is no assumption or interpretation on the SAT. Try to find reasons why the answers are wrong, instead of justifying why they’re right. When I started doing that, it upped my score dramatically. Lastly, practice. Get a feel for the type of questions they ask and be prepared for all possible variances. Good luck!

Wow, looking at all the accomplishments you’ve done is amazing! Just the math section is out of place a bit. I’d say aim at least for a 750. If you get that then I’m pretty sure you can go anywhere. And that’s a nice detail that your teacher said “best of 2 students in his/her 10 year teaching career” Best of luck to you!

Again, thanks all for the posting. I’ll give an update as soon as the June 1st scores come out. I feel confident about the math section, fingers crossed but I’d estimate over a 700, assuming normal curving I’m thinking around a 740, potentially higher.

Just wanted to let you all know that I scored a 2390 on the most recent SAT, 800 critical reading,/790 math/800 writing. Thank you all for the suggestions, the encouragement to get that math up helped me put the study time in. I’m happy with my score, I’ll update with subject tests in the fall. :)

Hi.
How do I get my CR to above 700? I’ve so far managed to only get to the boundary of 600 and 700. (680.690.670) My Maths okay (740-800). My not so good CR scores drag my scores down.
Help.
