First of all, I understand that my stats are not perfect. If I had ridiculously outstanding stats, I wouldn't be asking to be chanced . Furthermore, these are not the only schools I am applying to. Nor are these a list of schools I am definitely applying to. I have some safety schools. My chances may also help me narrow down where I'm applying. I think this will help me in the application process.
I am interested in double majoring in Humanities/Culture/Values (history, philosophy, literature, art, music, etc.) and French, or somehow combining these interests. I understand that each school on this list may not have a Humanities/Culture/Values major, however most, if not all, of the schools that do not have a Humanities Major do have an Independent Major. Even if the Independent Major is not available, I could always major in a specific subject within the humanities if it meant getting a stellar education.
I feel a little uncomfortable attesting to my own personal character to online strangers, however I guess I'll have to deal with it... I have been told by my teachers that I have great character. Furthermore, teachers have told me I am a quirky and bright individual who any school would be lucky to have. I've also been told if I can demonstrate my personality in my applications and interviews, then my chances of going to a top school will be good. I have done a lot with my ECs and outside interests and they all connect to what I am interested in (at least I think so).
I appreciate any insight/help I can get. If there are any schools you would like to recommend, please feel free! And last of all: thank you so much.
