Do i have a shot in getting into by the HEOP Program?

i will also be taking AP English Lit.

Dude I literally didn’t take any honors or AP courses, got an 1150, had a 3.3 GPA and got accepted. I have a feeling your fine.

Thank, I am apply through HEOP which I guess will help me more

I would be applying for the history program in the college of arts and sciences,is it the least competitive college at syracuse

Don’t apply to a program just because you think it is easiest to get into. You are more than likely to be dissapointed.

the college of arts and science is my intended college anyway, I have a passion for history and apparently it falls into that college. People are telling me that I will have no problem getting in into that college and that it is easy, i just wanted someone elses opinion

nope, not the easiest college for admittance; college of human ec is…then certain majors in VPA, then arts and sci…

college of education is somewhere in there but no idea where…ask House of London

Well do anyone else think I have a shot for the history department

Alex, no one here can really give you an accurate assessment of what your chances are. Admissions gets more and more selective every year and honestly, it’s a crap shoot to an extent. There are some kids who are denied admissions with higher stats than some who were admitted with lower stats. No one but the committee knows why. I’d say don’t worry too much about your chances and just focus on trying to get the best grades and test scores (which you have not taken yet) possible.

Here is a hypothetical example of someone who is 100% guaranteed admission into Syracuse (hooks-wise).

-2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th… generation legacy
-parents donated money for a library
-Applied Early Decision
-Cured Cancer/HIV
-Founded a company

Ok,cool thanks for your opinion.

I heard that the history program is excellent is that true???
