Chances for these UC's (I'll chance back)

Here are my stats and btw i listed 5 of awards and activities since UC online application only allows students to write down 5 and plz judge these in holistic view, don't scroll down too quickly lol

Schools - UCB, UCI, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB (all economics majors, since i've done the college level courses)

Objective:
SAT 1:1960 btw i've only learnt English for 4 years (which i mentioned in the essays)

GPA - Unknown, since the school doesn't provide any any rank or does not convert my
absolute percentage base to GPA. In this system, few students get over 80% over the years and in most subjects, average percentage or score is in the rage of 50 to 65. All my high school courses are college prep Electives

CIE A-level Exams(college level courses,similar to IB): AS(11th grade) - Math A, Economics B, Accounting C Predicted A-level results: Math A, economics A, accounting B

Award Lists(5) - 1.Cert of high distinction -Ranked in the top 8, or 0.3 percentile in NZ's nationwide Economics competition for high school students. 2. JLPT N4 - certifies that i have passed the Level N4(intermediate level) Japanese Language Proficiency Test 3.
Subjective:
Extracurricular Activities (5) - 1. Songwriting Group: organized a songwriting group by making use of the school's music lab and became executive producer/music producer/writer for the group. 2. Chamber Orchestra - cello principal 3. Soccer Team - Vice captain and striker for the school soccer team. 4. Peer tutor - tutor classed mate and helped him raise his math grade from 71 to 89. 5.
Volunteer Experience - Red Cross Retail Shop - serving a manual cashier to doing basic accounting, ironing, cleaning, and collecting secondhand clothes and other items.

Essays: 1st essay - about busking and volunteering. 2nd essay - How i became interested in Hip Hop music and eventually winning the title of semi finalists (1500/22000) in the International Songwriting Competition with my first ever produced hip hop song. The judges include nas, adele, Tom Waits, DMX, Director of Republic Records etc etc. really well written as i started off with the principal, close friends and my mom being so sarcastic about my budding interest in music,,,,the song is about my friend's heartbreaking story of domestic violence and i was so motivated that i had to kinda leave study(temporarily) for a while since it was my soul-searching journey. my friends and even the principal were saying like 'u can't make it as a producer, ur wasting time and asking me what i would do if i didn't win the title in ISC'. But i guess we'll never know coz i did!

Others: Race - Asian (international student studying in NZ)
School type - Small Private School
Gender - male
No Financial Aid
Hooks - Hip Hop story, Polarizing taste in music opera to hip hop. Busking.

Your GPA situation confuses me and the SAT score is pretty low, but your ECs are excellent and show a true passion for music. I would say you have a pretty good shot at all of these schools. UCLA will probably be the toughest, but it’s not out of the question. Good Luck! Would love it if you could chance me back!: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1571030-chances-uva-notre-dame-northeastern.html

chance back

i did reply and btw akpl4485 did you even read my A-level results??? they are college level courses man, and r you confident about what goes behind the international student admission process???

Yes that is positive, but your GPA is probably going to be converted to a pretty low US GPA because of the fact that you say it is hard for people to get 80s which is only like a 3.2 which is really low anyways. Your Ec’s and Sats are fair which helps so you have a chance. Plus you pay a lot more in tuition so who knows.

na i heard from my college counselor (he met a lot of people who are college admission officers) that international student specialist mostly look at external exams not internals coz there are fluctuations in different systems.

btw thank you akpl4485 for at least replying to my posts man! i really appreciate that! and i understand your opinion, coz most people say reach for my UC Berkeley and UCLA chance, coz its at the 25 percentile of admitted students among international students. But you know, i just wanna have an insight of how international admission process really works,

i guess, there’s no one who knows about international student admission process,
