I live in New York and If I get accepted I would be dorming.

I am also interested in playing for their club hockey team.

Montclair State University is situated in New Jersey… out-of-state cost are substantially more expensive; you might want to consider City University of New York: City College which has a history of being markedly generous toward the economic needs of in-state students. Prior to pursuing additional alternatives, it is imperative that you narrow down your choice of study — your final determination will undoubtedly influence your career options and prospects; thenceforth a strategic mode of elimination is presumably most plausible.

Have you looked at a scatterplot to see where you fall? Anyway, Montclair State is in transition. You no longer need to submit SAT’s, which they say is to help increase diversity. So they are changing their admissions policies as of the last couple of months. They have put quite a bit of money into the arts, lately, so it’s become more competitive for those students. It’s not that difficult to get into, but given your grades, I would request an interview to explain your transcript. I’d say not to rule it out. It is expensive for out of state, however. Since you are a New Yorker, why not SUNY? If you can’t get in to the 4 year schools, Delhi is a solid jr. College where you can dorm. My brother and sister in law both started there, as they didn’t have great high school grades…and were very successful in life.

also applied to CUNY Staten Island, and I don’t need an interview since I’m majoring in computers. Only need an interview if your going for film or photography.

I also have an IEP.

You should be okay at CSI (there’s a nice new dorm there) and Montclair state, but make sure to register your IEP with the office of disability services. Depending on your parents’ budget, you may want to check out UMass Lowell, Curry, and Dean, these schools have good disability support and should be within range for you.
