I dont usually fill out these things but i really am intrigued with Colgate and would like to see if i even have a shot. I know my scores are a little low for Colgate's liking but i'm hoping they wont discredit all the other things i hope i have going for me.

Sats are on the low end of the middle 50%, the fact that you're from oregon will help you, take all the ap's you can senior year, the class rank/gpa are great. make sure your essay is very good.

I think you have a good shot. Your SATs are a little low, but being from OR does make up for that. I would more likely maybe take one or two less tough classes and focus on retaking SAT and trying to get over 1400. While the overall avg SAT is 1349, the avg SAT for a non-athlete male is 1384. While the avg non-athlete male is not val of their class or even as high as the top 3%, using this with an avg Colgate SAT will give you a better edge. I know my biggest regret in applying to schools was not re-taking SAT and I was at 1470. Your academic record is largely set in stone by now, it's not going to change much, but the SAT still has chance to stand out at this point.

i agree completely. I did manage to get my sat up to a 2070, and a 1380 for CR and Math so i hope with my new score and everything else i can manage to eek in there!
