Hi Everyone,
I'm going to be a senior this fall at my current high school and my GPA currently unweighted is 3.0 and I have a 4.0 weighted. Every year, a majority of my classes are honor/accelerated and AP other than like one every year. When I graduate I'll have 4 years of English, 4 years of math (up to Calc BC), 4 years of Spanish, 4 years of science, 4 years of history and 4 years worth of other electives. I'm a three sport athlete , and I volunteered over 50 hours at a hospital near my house. I aspire to be a doctor but I'm afraid my GPA isn't high enough to get into high tiered undergraduate schools like Northwestern or Wash U. I score a 32 on the ACT and I recently took the SAT and I haven't received my scores yet. Are my chances pretty much shot at applying to schools like Northwestern or Rice?

Oh and I am in several clubs too.
I medaled at regional and at state for Science Olympiad,
I’m in best buddies
National Honor Society and Scholastic Bowl

Not necessarily, but a 3.0 unweighted GPA is pretty low for those schools…

Both are far reaches

Med schools do not care where you went to undergrad. Your GPA makes all top schools a very high reach but it does not matter if you want to be a doctor.
