chances for transfer, and question about dance

<p>here are my stats:</p>

<p>73 credits (after just one year) from a private lutheran university in texas
3.8 gpa
member of student govetnment (elected position)
started a young dem club and was president
internship this summer at congressman charlie gonzalez's office
in honors and leadership program at current school
work at best buy
sat (when taken in high school) 1270 and act 28</p>

<p>high school gpa was low though, 3.0 or so, i didnt really care much. how much is high school transcript considered?</p>

<p>also, how is the dance team? are there dance classes offered</p>

<p>also, this year i will be taking off, i'm going to be working with an organization called invisible children in san diego california, i will be there for four months then next semester i will be touring ( either in the us or over seas) to raise awareness for the war in uganda.</p>

<p>anyway, what are my chances?</p>

<p>My D is transferring this fall to Pepperdine. HS stats were a little better 3.3, but like you, she worked really hard her 1st yr in college and the improved gpa helped. Also important is community service and great recs, especially if church related ie. pastor. They have a program called dance in flight, check out their website. good luck.</p>
