Chances for Transfer student

Here are my friends stats he wants to go to gmu

2.3 gpa in Highschool
rank: 288 out of 320
3.9 gpa for my first semester in an acredited Community College

Sats (took them in Highschool) 800 out of 1600, 1100 out of 1600
He will be taking the SATs again in november and december for the first time with the intention of going to college, so he'll be trying.

EC's:
Varsity Wrestler, SWC champion, Receieved Senior Athletic Award.
Hundreds of hours of community service in my community

What are his chances?

As long as he keeps up the good work in CC I would say he can definitely get in. Mason only requires SAT scores and HS GPA if you have fewer than 30 credit hours completed. So if he wants to stay at CC for another year and keeps up his good grades, he'll definitely get in.

If he wants to stay at CC for only a year, though, it'll be a bit tougher I would say.. but that 3.9 GPA is saying a lot.
