Chances for UCSC, UCLA arts, UCSB, other CSU schools!

I am a rising senior and a California resident looking to apply to the following schools for enrollment in the fall of 2014:
UC Santa Cruz
UC Santa Barbara
UCLA Arts
CSU Monterey Bay
CSU Long Beach
San Jose State
Cal Poly Pomona
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
Humboldt State
San Francisco State

I am female, white
GPA: unweighted- 3.3
weighted- 3.48
Took 1 AP class sophomore year, 2 AP classes junior year, and taking 3 AP classes senior year. Classes generally focusing on humanities (English in particular). Consistent B's and a couple C's in math and science classes.

SAT: 1830 on first try, retaking in October and hoping raise score at least 100 points based on recent practice test scores.

ECs: Editor-in-chief of award-winning student newspaper
Editor-in-chief of nationally-ranked literary magazine
Varsity water polo and swimming since sophomore year of high school
Worked as swim instructor for past 2 years
Volunteered with MS Foundation throughout high school career
Took drawing and composition class at local community college in spring semester of junior year

Please chance me for these California schools! I am applying as an art (graphic design if offered) or communications major. The only one I am very unsure about is UCLA. I know my grades and SAT score are nowhere near UCLA standards, but I am applying to the arts program. I have heard that the admission process for this specific program is much more focused on talent and the applicant's portfolio. Even if my portfolio is impressive, would my stats completely prevent me from getting in?
Thanks!

If you can get your sat over 2000 and have great essays and recs your ecs give you a shot at everything but ucla.

SFSU, SJSU, Humboldt are safeties. The CSU’s you mentioned are low matches. UCSC is a match, UCSB is a match, maybe a high match. Raising your SAT score higher at least by 100 pts will definitely help, esp for UCLA. Your GPA is a little lower, however you do have AP’s. I’d say overall your chances for most of these schools are good!
