UCB/UCLA: Match (in state)
UCSD: Safe Match (in state)
UCSB: Safety (in state)
USC: Safe Match
Cornell: Match-Slight Reach
Northwestern: Match-Slight Reach
Rice: Match-Slight reach

Thanks ucchris. BTW are the UC's need blind?

ok callmegoose...ucs do not care what scores you get on aps but privates they care alot...so depending on your scores privates can be reaches or matches but ucs are match-safe =D

Thanks darkhope. I got 5's on calc ab, chem, and physics B but I got a 2 in art history =/. I guess I just wasn't too captivated by that subject.

Also darkhope I just read from another thread that you're an Arcadian. That's pretty funny cause I'm from Temple City which you probably already know, is right next to Arcadia.

So I just did my FAFSA a while ago and my EFC comes out to be 0. Is this going to hurt my chances for public schools like the UC's.

Any thoughts?

You look good for all UCs and USC.

Well I've heard that if you get less than a 3 on an AP test colleges won't even look at it (despite getting an A in the class) Anyways, I think that u have a reasonable shot @ the UC's and USC as well as Cornell. NW, CM, Swarthmore & Rice are gonna be reaches. (but these schools are kinda reaches for everyone) Like others have commented write a really good essay, and trust me you are definately going to get in @ least half of the schools you applied to. (they are all GREAT schools) Good luck ;)

Thanks a lot guys. So my financial status wouldn't really affect admission?

For the money, you can't beat Cal's engineering. However, with an EFC of ), you might actually get better packages from private schools. The UCs give most students loan heavy packages while many privates cap the loans.

Your stats look really great, however, I have to say there are thousands of other asian males JUST like you. I'm sure you'll do fine ... cheers :)

Your Gpa looks good

Yeah, just within my school there are tons of asian guys with almost identical scores who are aspiring engineering majors.

Those of you who said I was a match for USC were right on. I just got my acceptance letter yesterday :).
