I am a male in Northern California and USC is my number one choice. What are my chances? (I sent my app in for the dec 10 scholarship deadline)

1420 SAT
700/700/590 SAT2
3.81 GPA (W)
good ECs (at least i think so)
good teacher recs.

My mother, aunt and sister all went to USC.
Chances please??

Your test stats are good, but your GPA could be higher.

It really helps that your family members went to USC, SC likes to create family traditions.

I think it might come down to your extra currics/essay.

You said yourself that your EC's are good, so that's great. Good EC's would generally be defined as being involved in several well-rounded organizations for at least two years, holding leadership or founding positions in those organizations, and having lots of community service, so I assume that's what you mean.

To summarize: your not a shoe-in, but it looks pretty good.

thanks for the response, i applied undecided and interviewed with the letters arts and sciences college. im pretty involved with my ECs and have been doing them since before/early high school, ive held leadership positions in 3 of them. thanks again
