I'm applying to: Carleton College, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins University, Lehigh University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stony Brook University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, University of California in Berkeley, University of California San Diego, Penn State Main(as well as Schreyer Honors College) Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Maryland.

I plan to major in Physics, if there are any other schools with great Physics undergraduate programs that give me tons of opportunities for research please recommend them. I'm certain of this major and don't expect to change it for practical reasons: Physics is my absolute passion.

GPA 96.3/99% or 3.85-3.9 unweighted GPA.

Seven sciences: Earth & Space, CP Biology, Chemistry I, Chemistry II, Advanced Biology/Anatomy and Physiology, AP Biology, CP Physics. The only other science offered at my High School, which I did not take is Environmental Science. I had no other options than those listed. All of them are or will be As on a 90-100% = A scale.

Six Maths: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, AP Calculus AB, Probability & Statistics. Those are all of the math classes my school provides.

All of them are or will be As, except Trigonometry, ended the year with a 89%.

Four English classes: English 1, 2, 3, and AP Literature and Composition.

Four Social Studies: American Cultures 1, American Cultures 2, World Cultures, Psychology.

Three Languages: French I, French II, French III. I tried to take French IV as an independent study because it wouldn't fit into my schedule, but unfortunately I was denied.

All of those grades are or will be As for the last three subjects.

Class Rank(Unweighted): Right now 15th/177; hopefully after this first quarter of my Senior Year I move up a few places, by graduation I expect to be in the top 10. I'm the only student who has taken the most difficult and numerous courses, even stayed an extra after-school period for Gym and Health two years in a row so that I could get an extra two sciences. Only one other person is takng the 3 AP Classes offered at my school, and they aren't near me in class rank(somewhere in the 20s I believe.)

SAT Scores: 700 Math, 640 Reading(hoping to bring it up this upcoming test.), 680 writing.

I have not taken SAT IIs yet, but plan to take Chemistry, Molecular Biology, and Math II in December(all of the colleges that require them accept the December ones.) From practice tests I've gotten around 680-740 on Math II, and around the 600-700 range on Chemistry and Biology, but I have been studying consistently and believe I can get 700+ at the very least on all three.

Extracurricular:

National Honor's Society
80 hours of community service, I helped flood victims in my area of Pennsylvania recently.
Marching Band during Freshman and Sophomore year, had to quit due to time constraints and family problems.
Science Olympiad Freshman - Senior year(and before.)
A few other various small things.

I have to admit, that this is probably my weakest area, but I have a strong interest in science and math, and a moderate interest in literature and history, especially linguistics and anthropology/ancient cultures; so I believe my essays can make up for the lack of extracurricular activities somewhat. I don't know if this is a good thing to bring up or not, but I have bought genetic genotyping services for myself and family members, and have a strong interest in both this and family trees as a hobby. So while I don't have many extracurricular activies, much of my time is spent on these hobbies or reading - both fiction and non-fiction.
