I am interested in these schools:

Wharton (applying early decision)

Stanford

Harvard

Wash U of St. Louis

Duke

University of Washington

University of Chicago

UC Berkeley (Haas)

Cornell University

Thanks a lot for your time!

You are a really strong applicant applying to schools which receive only really strong applications. If it were up to me, it would depend upon your essays, recommendations and whether or not I felt that my school was your first choice. You certainly deserve to be admitted to the school of your choice.

I think my essays will be above average and might stand out a bit, but probably not spectacular. My recs will be from teachers who will highlight more "personal" than academic qualities in me.

forgot to say that I am applying early decision to Wharton; it is a school for which I have a true passion for, which will hopefully shine through the essays

thanks for the quick response

Wharton ED: reach

Stanford: reach

Harvard: reach

Wash U of St. Louis: match

Duke: slight reach

University of Washington: safe match

University of Chicago: match

UC Berkeley (Haas): match

Cornell University: match

2100 is kinda low for wharton

ucb (Haas) does not accept freshman applicants (u apply junior year and then transfer inter-school @ 50% accept rate)

SATs definitely need to be higher for ivies... especially since you are an asian male. Bump that CR score higher than around a 740

to all those who commented on SAT scores: I completely agree. I will try to get at least a 2250+, which should put me at a more competitive level.

dontcha: thanks a lot for the clarification. I have not done much research yet.

Also, the schools I listed are simply those I am slightly interested in. I just wanted to see if I had a chance at certain schools to know if it'd be worth applying. I will most likely end up applying to no more than 4 of these schools.

also, another question:

If I take US History as my SAT subject test in December and take the SAT I again in January, will I be able to rush both scores to regular decision schools?

Thanks!

I'm a current Wharton frosh who applied regular decision. I only had a 1920 for my SAT. so yea..... I pretty much laugh at your guys' shallow obsession over standardized test scores cuz i got into Stanford, Berkeley, Duke, & Columbia as well. Your credentials are very competitive and you have a great chance, especially with all I've heard from all my friends who did get in here through ED. Diff EQ is a definite plus for you. Good luck!

You're either Black, Hispanic, or Native American. You don't deserve to have been admitted to those schools with that SAT and you wouldn't have been were it not for your race and affirmative action.

1920? Try 2240.

Ya **** that kid who said he had a 1920
