Chances, Good Poli sci schools

Hey im a student at Goucher College. I've only completed one semester but my GPA was 3.8. My highschool record wasn't great. In highschool i had a 3.3 gpa and a 1270 SAT 1. Also 680 Verbal SAT 2 and 740 Writing SAT 2. I have really really good teacher recs. A lot of solid extra currics including manager of a branch of the democratic national commitee and a really strong essay. I am looking to transfer to a slightly larger, slightly more challenging(between 2-5 thousand students) school. I am very into political science. I was wondering if you guys could suggest some good schools with good poli sci programs in my range. Follow up question: would it be smarter to wait until completing my freshman year and transfer as a junior? Thanks for any imput.

anyone? please

bump please?

my response: "You ... need to stop scrutinizing your grades so much. College is about learning man. It's not about this lifelong struggle to get to the top."

Further,
"While I reserve any severe judgement for fear of being a hypocrite, I feel these boards breed a competitiveness that plagues academia."

Then don't use them for your own stats evaluations. i think youre clearly flirting with hypocrite here.

First of all the word you are looking for is hypocricy. Flirting with hypocrite doesn't quite make sense. Second if you read the statement it says that I reserve judgement for fear of being a hypocrite. In other words I am not judging anyone. While I understand how this could have been a difficult statement for you to grasp, it wasn't. I actually stated in that same post that I was using this board to post and that I didn't hold anyone in any form of contempt if they did too. It's all pretty clearly written out there Northrams. Anyway does anyone have anything constructive to say? I would really appreciate it.

first of all, the word YOU'RE looking for is "hypocrisy." second, i was looking for neither "hypocricy" nor "hypocrisy." i did however, forget to put quotes around the word, which would then allow you to understand that you are flirting with BEING a hypocrite.

my point was that you were by no means withholding judgement on the other thread, and you were clearly troubled by people doing the exact same thing youre doing on this thread - getting their stats evaluated. that tone was quite evident from your posts on the other thread.

again, i recommend you take your own advice, since by giving it you must think it has value. oh and dont tell me youre not "scrutinizing your grades." the mere action of posting stats on CC to be evaluated falls into that category, something I, unlike you, don't have a problem doing myself or allowing others to do.

Are you retaking SAT? Since you have so few credits they'll way them higher. Have you applyed? Would you get into the schools your looking at with the STATS you had in high school. It might help if your still competitive in athletics. Have you spoken to scouts at prospective schools---they could get you in even now!
