PSAT: 219 (80M,700C,690W) (Probably Finalist, In Florida highest cutoff was 215ish)
SAT: 1530 (80M,73C), 219 W/ Writ.

Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, Started Up my Own Club That deals w/ Strategic Games and Tactics (sounds lame but it's pretty cool, IE RTS's), School's Robotics Team, Volunteer at Red Cross (Occassionaly).

I will most likely be 1 or 2 (currently 2) out of 500 ish. I will have taken about 14 AP's. (So for I have taken 6, all 5's).
GPA: Currently 4.0
Sports: Tennis (Fresh and Soph Year)

How am I standing Ivy league wise? I want to probably go to MIT. I have very strong Math and Science scores etc. and some awards from these subjects. English wise, I believe myself to be subpar in SAT Writ.(Low Writ. Score). Does the Writ. section for the HS grad. class of 07' mean much to colleges? If it does I'm not sure I want to submit this SAT score.

APs that Relate to math/sci (since I want to go to MIT): Statistics, Biology, Physics B or Chemistry (which one for MIT or either?), CalculusAB/BC, Env. Science.

Nice M+V SAT, but the writing isn't going to help, but it most likely won't hurt. Looking good for Cornell, middle ground for Penn, Dartmouth, but the others are reaches, just because that writin Ivys, g isn't amazing, nor are your ECs. But I would think that if you applied to all 8 Ivies, you would get into Cornell and maybe 2 others.

Oh, and will colleges look @ my 1530 or my 2190 (way lower) for acceptance? I'm kinda ticked off that my writing score was soo low :(. [660]

"just because that writin Ivys, g isn't amazing"

Huh? I can still retake it, that was my first time. I am pretty confident that my ACT score will be higher if that counts for anything. What would you recommend for EC's I have time still =p?

They will look at the 2190, but your writing won't hurt you, it just wont help. But if you had like 750+, it would. I don't think lower writing scores will hurt our class, but I think high ones will help. Get what I mean? The 1530 is good enough, and I don't think a 660 will really distract from that at all.

How would I better market myself to MIT? I am thinking of doing something Relating to Physics/Engineering. University of Florida has a nice engineering camp for people who score well/have good grades that is free(very selective); do you think stuff like that is what people at MIT are looking for? What would you recommend me doing to bolster my app?

yo are wrong about florida's cut off. last year i had a friend named drew who got a 218 and didnt get national merit. dont count your chickens before they hatch
