I think you'll be accepted. If you are looking for it, merit aid would be very iffy - some applicants last year with better SATs were not offered merit. If you plan to major in music or dual major in music, it would be to your benefit to audition on campus. There are additional scholarships available for music and for talent.

thank you WS!

any more opinions?

I think you have a good shot for acceptance. WS17's suggestion for auditioning for music scholarships is good. Merit scholarships were, last year, constrainted to top 15% and above and (I think) 1350 (higher for the larger scholarships). Case also grants needs-based aid.

Best wishes to you. Case sounds like a good fit (at least EC-wise) for you with fencing and and CIM just down the block.

thank you ohio_mom.

do you think that case has a shaky neighborhood?

bump bump any more opinions?

Yeah, you'll probably be admitted. As for campus safety-the area is generally reasonably safe. There are a couple of surrounding neighborhoods that one shouldn't wander into (especially on the north side of campus), but on the whole the area is pretty secure. It's much less shady then, say, the neighborhood surrounding Johns Hopkins.

thank you!

i just got my new SAT scores and they are significantly better!
750 (critical reading)
690 (math)
540 (writing)... eek.

do you think these will help me get into CASE?

Send them on !! A 1440 up from a 1310 is rather significant I'd say. I think you did yourself a world of good but I'm not a pro.
