chances into UC's w/ current position

<p>hi you guys i was wondering with my current position as a jr in hs:
freshman yr - English Honors (gpa 3.39 overall)
soph yr - English Honors (gpa 3.58)
junior yr - NO HONORS OR APs (currently on prog. report 4.00)
(classes were relatively on the average level for each of the yrs)
current UC GPA: 3.50</p>

<p>i understand that ap classes are very important to have, especially during junior year so would i still have a chance to get into UC's, e.g. UCLA, UCSD, UCI without any ap classes this yr? </p>

<p>some guy once told me that without any AP's in my junior year, there is absolutely no chance of getting into a UC =I. true? false?</p>

<p>You might have a chance if you get all A's.
the 9th and 10th grade english honors don't count at the UC's.</p>

<p>ofcourse this is false... right now you need to get 4.0 and higher these two years if you want good chance at UCLA or Berkeley, but there are other factors such as SAT, etc... don't worry about it for now, just do your best at everything</p>
