Chances...mid-quarter update.

I'm just about to apply to schools (actually applying to one online as I type this), and I figured I'd give a mid-quarter update on my grades and stuff. I've posted before, but after some disputes with my parents, my list has been slightly changed. I've had some great help on here, and if anyone else would like to chime in, feel free. Anywho, here's my stats/list:

GPA: 73% (I'm in the bottom quarter of our class, which is 99 people in size)

SAT's
Math: 530
Critical Reading: 500
Writing: 560

ACT's: Taking October 27th

EC's
Basketball (9, 11, 12)
Baseball (12)
Representative for Student Council (10, 11)
Work experience

Current grades (as of last Wednesday)
English 12: 91 A
English 11: 75-80 B/C
Problems of Democracy: 85-90 A/B
Health 12: 85 B
Computer Programming I: 82 B
Spanish II: 85 B

I won't know my POD/English 11 grades for until we get progress reports, but I'm pretty sure that they are in those ranges. The Spanish and Comp. Programming grades have also went up since last week, but I don't know what they are now. Anyway, here's my list...

Applying to for sure:

Ohio University
Bowling Green State University
Towson University
West Virginia University

Not sure yet, need your help with these:

Ohio State University
University of Louisville

My essay is about why my grades are so low (family problems/death in family/depression), just so they automatically don't write me off. I'm unsure about OSU because I don't know if they'll even give me a second look without throwing out my application. Would they be worth applying to? Thanks.
