Thanks very much!

I'm a middle-class Californian, half Asian and half Caucasian, stuck between radio stations. I'm ranked in the top 10% of my class, although not top 5%, even though my school doesn't rank. I believe the counselors have some kind of "do not rank" stamp, even if SSReports just ask for estimates.

The school sends a large number of students to ivies/similar institutions, I think 16 were accepted to Stanford and 8 to Harvard last year. Not very many into Virginia, not very many applied.

But:

GPA (UW): 3.8
GPA (W): 4.5
SAT: 2250 (M 780, CR 760, W 710)
PSAT: 223
SATIIs: Math IIc 780, U.S. History 770, Biology M 750

APs: Biology, U.S. History, Economics, Government, Calculus AB, Environmental Science, English Language

Just for the record, I'm taking all of those senior year (except for the first two). And even though I'm taking most of the hardest classes I can find, I've only done three years of math in HS, and three years of a foreign language.

I do have high SAT scores on math, and I've taken the AIME every year since freshman year. I've gotten summa cum laudes on the National Latin Exam every year as well.

Not that I'm actually smart, I've never gotten an A in math since Geometry. Hopefully that will change this year.

ECs:
- Founder of the Palos Verdes Youth Organization, community service. I also created, pay for, and maintain the website. I've put in anywhere from ten to twenty hours a week since the 8th grade, and it's done pretty well! So far I've connected fifty homeless people to jobs. Thirty-nine still have jobs, and twenty-two aren't homeless anymore.

Internship at LTK Consulting, with computers and programming. I only spent one summer there, but put in over 100 hours.

Junior Varsity tennis freshman and sophomore year.

Varsity cross-country and track junior and senior year

Model United Nations, I have a bunch of "Outstanding" awards.

I'm also a National Merit Semifinalist, if that counts.
I found out about Virginia through the Jefferson Scholar process. Even if I don't get that (understandably!), I'd still like to apply.
