I am currently a senior planning to apply to Boston College as the one choice early action. I would like to know my chances of acceptance if I applied. I go to high school in Mass and my dad is currently enrolled at BC as well.
I moved to my current high school my sophomore year.
GPA: 3.7909 (unweighted)
SAT: 1500
Classes: all honors all four years, AP Statistics and currently enrolled in AP Chem and AB Calculus
Extracurriculars: involved in schools clubs(Community service, Red Cross), tennis(9-10) not 11 due to injury, volunteered at local hospital for a year and a half (to the present day)
BC is Early Action, not single choice EA (you can apply to other EA schools, but not ED schools)
BC changed their EA policy for this year. You can apply EA to BC and ED elsewhere
thanks for the news, that is different!
Early Action is a nonbinding program for candidates who view Boston College as one of their top choices. If admitted to Boston College through Early Action, these candidates have until May 1 to make their enrollment decision.
Candidates applying to binding Early Decision I or Early Decision II programs may apply through Early Action to Boston College.
I think you have a good chance. My son was accepted early action to BC with a 3.7 gpa and 32 ACT with 6 AP classes and several honors classes and similar extra curriculars. I also graduated from BC many years ago.
