Chances of being recruited? (Swimming)

I'm currently a junior in my high school swimming team

I currently go a 23.28 in my 50 free
and a 1:01.45 in my 100 Breastroke (I qualified for New York All State and will compete in Buffalo)

What are my chances of being recruited?</p>

Other info:
3.75 GPA
Asian Male 5"11

While I do not know the statistics of Northwestern’s swimming program specifically, most colleges/universities have top times posted on their websites. I would suggest submitting a recruit questionnaire (also usually available as a link from colleges’ sports webpages). This will let the coach know that you are interested so he can keep an eye on you through out the summer. Good luck!

just read the bios of the team members on the athletics website; they mention the times in HS and prior year(s) at NU.

Sorry to say but I think Northwestern (Div I) Swimming is really fast and you would be lucky if you made the team.

Freshmen are doing sub 1 minute on the 100 breast and the team has plenty of 20’s and 21’s on the 50.

NU’s men’s swim team is pretty competitive nowadays; Matt Grevers and Mike Alexandrov won individual NCAA titles and the team won the 400m medley relay title in 2006.

Grevers and Alexandrov ended up swimming in the Olympics w/ Grevers winning multiple medals.

Contact the coach; he at least will tell you where you need to be to get recruited.
