Chances of getting caught lying about being a woman

Given grad schools struggle to get women into STEM degrees, if I lied about being a woman on the inside to get into grad school, what are my chances of getting caught? I mean who’s going to question me being transgender.

I don’t know, might your recommenders possible use of gender specific pronouns in describing you tip them off?

Just read your other thread. 3.0 GPA. Maybe you could try studying instead of acting like a resentful little, (choose whatever gendered insult you prefer)

No one here is going to tell anyone to lie. I don’t recommend it either. Would be bad to get kicked out of grad school for lying but that’s me.

That’s not going to get you into grad school. Your academic records, recommendations, and the rest of your app are what matter. If your grades and recommendations aren’t where you want them to be it may help you to work for a year or two before applying to grad school.

Could someone please terminate this idiotic thread asking whether the OP can get away with lying?

I’m guessing you don’t understand what being transgender means, or you wouldn’t have said something that idiotic and offensive.

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

Assuming this post is real (which I question), I’m unsure what response you are expecting. Perhaps:

• Yes, go ahead and lie
• Yes, it will enhance your application
• Yes, that’s a great idea
• No, none of your recommendations will contradict your claim
• No, you won’t get caught
• No, your post is not beyond offensive to anyone

Well, I gotta tell you, none of those answers are likely to be forthcoming. Additionally, the purpose of this site is not to encourage users to act in an unethical or illegal way. Closing thread.
