You would need a higher SAT score to have a solid shot( ie to raise your chances of getting accepted). 1300+ range could get you in with a full tuition scholarship if you need the aid. Last year we were informed that the SAT range was from 1270-1400 for majority of accepted students in the class of 2020 and ACT range was from 24-28 on average if I’m not mistaken. Admissions is becoming more and more competitive so getting a higher SAT could help. Also if FSU is your dream school you could consider applying for summer b, (I heard it can be easier to get in for summer than fall). I would recommend applying on the first deadline they post (last year their was a deadline for oct. and one for dec.) Let me know if you have any questions.

An upward trend in your grades following a tough 9th grade is good. Being an IB student is a huge boost, too (FSU loves IB students). The SAT score might be a tad below FSU’s range but it’s not bad.

Depending on how bad your 9th grade was, though, you might get deferred by FSU until the spring decision. Make sure to apply for Fall semester by the deadline in October though to improve your chances.
